Poster Presentation Guidelines

Please use the following table to locate your poster presentation date/time:

Poster viewing time

Poster types to be presented

Thursday, 28 June
10:50 – 11:20 and 16:15 – 16:45

Esophageal cancer, liver cancer, gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer, and other GI tumors

Friday, 29 June
10:30 – 11:00 and 16:30 – 17:00

Colon cancer and rectal cancer

 

Poster Set-up: 8:30 – 10:00 the morning of your poster presentation

Poster Break-Down: Please remove your poster immediately following the afternoon poster viewing session (Thursday at 16:45 and Friday at 17:00). Posters not removed from the poster boards by the times listed, will be taken down and disposed of by the CCIB staff. We cannot be responsible for the status of your poster after this time.

Poster Size: 0.9 meters tall x 1.5 meters wide. Presentations will be hung using push pins or t-pins that you MUST provide.

Poster Location: CCIB, Exhibit Hall

Once you have your Congress badge, please check in at the “Poster Check-In” table the morning of your poster viewing between 8:30 – 10:00. The table is located outside the Exhibit Hall. Once you have checked-in at the table, you can proceed into the Exhibit Hall to hang your poster.

Poster numbers will be located on the poster boards in the Exhibit Hall, in numerical order using the Abstract Number. This number can also be found listed in the Annals of Oncology Journal Supplement which will be located in your Congress bag. Do not move your number or hang your poster in the place of another submission.

We ask that you stand with your poster during the poster viewing times listed with each abstract. If for some reason, you are unable to attend the Congress and you have not withdrawn your abstract, please contact wgiabstracts@imedex.com

Oral Presentation Guidelines

A select number of abstracts have been chosen for oral presentation as clearly stated in your acceptance letter. You will be required to give a 7 minute PowerPoint presentation of your data followed by 3 minutes for Q&A. Please submit your presentation by 21 June.

If you wish to upload a new version of your presentation at the Congress, please bring a copy of your slides on a thumb drive to the Faculty Room and introduce yourself as an oral abstract presenter. (Please note: You cannot check in at the Faculty Room unless you are a speaker in the plenary session.) You must bring the final version of your presentation to the Faculty Room at least 1 hour prior to your talk.

Poster Discussion Guidelines

A select number of abstracts have been chosen for poster discussion as clearly stated in your acceptance letter. A Session Chair will present abstracts selected for poster discussion during the poster discussion session. You will need to submit a PowerPoint file of your poster so that the Session Chair can discuss your poster. Please plan to attend this session in case the panel or audience has specific questions regarding your poster. Please submit your slides by 18 June.
