Dear Colleague,
It is with great
pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 7th World Congress
on Gastrointestinal Cancer in Barcelona, Spain 15 to 18 June 2005.
The
World Congress on Gastrointestinal Cancer serves as the premier
forum where specialists in cancer research, leading oncologists,
and practicing clinicians review the state of the art and share
the newest information on the management of gastrointestinal cancer.
Since 1999, this clinically-focused Congress has attracted thousands
of oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, gastroenterologists
and pathologists, who benefit from overview lectures by widely recognized
experts, complemented with presentations of selected "hot news"
items, meet the professor sessions, and satellite symposia on specific
topics. A multidisciplinary approach was always stressed in the
clinical approach of patients with gastrointestinal cancer.
As evidence
of the stature of The World Congress on Gastrointestinal Cancer
as the most important international meeting on gastrointestinal
cancer, we are very pleased to advertise that the European Society
for Medical Oncology (ESMO) has announced their partnership with
this congress. ESMO is Europe's leading professional society providing
education and clinical guidelines for medical oncologists and other
healthcare professionals, working to ensure optimal care for cancer
patients. In a statement issued in December of 2004, ESMO president
Paris Kosmidis, MD, said, "The endorsement of the World Congress
on Gastrointestinal Cancer fits into the ongoing mission of ESMO
to provide medical oncologists around the world with the information,
knowledge, and experience that are the backbones of excellence in
clinical practice. The World Congress is leading the way in offering
clinically significant information to its growing number of attendees
each year. We believe that this Congress plays a significant role
in educating and updating medical oncologists working in the field
of gastrointestinal cancers and through this collaboration, we can
bring a high quality educational experience to a growing network
of practicing physicians." We are very pleased with this collaboration
and what it means for the future success of the Congress.
Join us, and
your colleagues in Barcelona, 15 to 18 June 2005 for the World Congress
on Gastrointestinal Cancer. We know for certain that you will appreciate
the scientific presentations, the opportunity to exchange ideas
with world renowned opinion leaders, enjoy the multicultural heritage
of the city, and delight in the culinary highlights of its chefs.
We look forward
to seeing you there.
