Exhibition Hall

When is the Exhibition Hall Open?

The Exhibition Hall will be open on Thursday, 21 June 2018 through Saturday, 23 June 2018. The exact hours the hall is open will be posted once the agenda is finalized.

Who has access to the Exhibit Hall?

For 2018, attendee badges will identify if the attendee is a prescribing healthcare professional or not. It will be up to the individual attendee to decide which areas of the Congress are appropriate for them visit. It will also be the responsibility of exhibitors to decide how they engage or interact with attendees, according to European legislation and any applicable code of practice.

 

Food

Is lunch provided by the Congress?

Bag lunches will be provided by the supporters of the luncheon symposium on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for symposium attendees. Quantities may be limited. No other lunch will be available.

Is dinner/breakfast provided by the Congress?

No.

What is a good place to eat dinner?

A representative from Turisme de Barcelona will be available onsite to offer suggestions. You can also visit their website www.barcelonaturisme.com for helpful information.

 

Luggage Storage

Is luggage storage available at the Congress Center?

Yes, luggage storage will be available on all Congress Days. Luggage cannot be left at the CCIB overnight.

 

Registration

Where/when do I pick up my Congress Materials?

Individuals who have not been registered as a member of a group can pick up their Congress Materials at the Registration Desk located in the Foyer of the CCIB during the following times:

Wednesday, 20 June 2018: 12:00–19:00
Thursday, 21 June 2018: 7:30–19:00
Friday, 22 June 2018: 7:30–19:30
Saturday, 23 June 2018: 8:00–16:30

If you are registered as a member of a group please contact your group leader to find out where and when you should pick up your Congress Materials.

Can I register onsite?

Yes. Please go to the Congress Registration Desk and we will be happy to register you for the Congress.

Can my spouse or child attend sessions with me?

Only registered attendees are allowed at the Congress. Accompanying persons and children are not allowed at the Congress.

I am a member of the Press, how do I register?

A Press badge will be issued upon presentation of a letter of assignment and an official press card for recognized: Journals, magazines, newspapers (trade and mainstream), News agencies, Broadcast media, Online media, Information officers for academic institutions, scientific societies or registered medical research charities Freelance journalists are required to submit an official letter of assignment and two bylined medical/health/science articles published within the last six months. Representatives engaged in the following activities are NOT entitled to register as media and receive a press badge but may register as regular participants: public relations, Sales and marketing, advertising, communication and media agencies, pharmaceutical companies. To register send the required documents to pr@hmpglobal.com.

 

Visa Invitation Letter

How do I get a Visa Invitation Letter?

Once your registration is paid in full, you will receive an email confirmation. The email confirmation will include information on receiving your invitation letter. Please note: Once a Visa Invitation Letter has been issued the Congress is unable to refund your registration fees.

My Visa Application was rejected, is there anything I can do?

The Congress is sorry you were unable to get your visa. However, we do not contact the Embassy or Consulate on behalf of attendees and we are not in a position to influence Embassy/Consulate procedures or decisions. In case of visa rejection, the Congress cannot be held responsible and therefore cannot refund any registration fees.

 

Transportation

Is transportation provided?

Each attendee will receive a T10 pass with their Congress materials that is good for 10 rides in Zone 1 on the metro, bus, and RENFE

How do I get to the CCIB?

The CCIB is located at Plaça de Willy Brandt 11-14. You can access via the metro (RENFE) at Maresme-Fòrum station on the yellow line, L4; by bus using lines 7, 36, 41, 43 and 141 or on the Trambesòs tram line at the Forum station. All of these means of transport are just a few minutes' walk from the CCIB. Shuttle buses are not provided

What is the language of the Congress?

The language of the Congress is English. No translation will be provided.
